We are looking to recruit a Head of Bucks Green Energy to manage the Bucks Green Energy Skills Hub.
Responsibilities
Buckinghamshire College Group recently launched the Bucks Green Energy Skills Hub. In partnership with Daikin and Quantum Group, the Bucks Green Skills Hub is a new training facility for heat pump engineers in hopes of closing the green skills gap within Buckinghamshire, and also assisting the government in becoming net zero by 2050.
We are looking to recruit a Head of Bucks Green Energy to manage the Bucks Green Energy Skills Hub, ensuring that there is an innovative and diverse curriculum, which offers our students and those looking to retrain or upskill an opportunity to become the new generation of Green Energy skilled operatives.
Based at our Aylesbury Campus, the Head of Bucks Green Energy will:
* Drive Business Growth: Manage course bookings and generate business for the Hub.
* Engage and Inspire: Create and deliver engaging curriculum and lessons for the courses delivered.
* Provide Guidance: Offer information, advice, and guidance to Hub users to inspire careers in the renewables sector.
* Market and Promote: Execute marketing and promotional activities to engage employers, small businesses, and other sources, ensuring the Hub meets income targets and becomes self-sustaining.

Minimum Requirements
Formal Qualification
* Relevant professional qualification to at least Level
* Qualified to deliver certified Renewables courses
* Plumbing qualifications at level 3
* Maths and English qualification at level 2 or higher
Knowledge
* In depth and practical knowledge of Renewables sector
* Willingness to undertake additional training as required
* Knowledge of current career pathways, within Renewables
* Knowledge of a range of quality improvement strategies within Further Education
* Knowledge of Curriculum development and planning
* Understanding of sector funding opportunities and challenges
* Significant knowledge and understanding of current teaching and learning pedagogy
* Understanding of, and demonstrable commitment to Safeguarding Children and Young People (Every Child Matters) and Vulnerable Adults
Experience
* Relevant and up to date occupational/professional experience
* Able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Renewables sector.
* Delivering and understanding of high quality teaching, learning and assessing
* Successful experience of teaching
* Experience of supervising or coordinating teams to deliver improved quality
* Experience of utilising learning technologies to enhance student success
Skills
* Credibility in leading and managing others
