An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Co-ordinator for Specialist Palliative Care Services to join the team within Tayside Specialist Services in Dundee Community Health Partnership. This post is based at Royal Victoria Hospital with a remit for Specialist Palliative Care Services across Dundee and Angus and working in partnership with Clinical Co-ordinator based in Perth. The post holder will provide operational management, professional support and leadership to a range of services. Specialist Palliative Care Services are based within Roxburghe House, a purpose-built palliative care unit, which is sited within the grounds of Royal Victoria Hospital. The service includes an 18 bedded In-patient Unit, Macmillan Day Care services in Dundee and Angus, Community Macmillan Nurse Team in Dundee and Angus, Lymphoedema Service, Hospital Palliative Care Service, Family Support Service, Chaplaincy, Volunteer Service and Complementary Therapies Services. The post holder will report to the Associate Locality Manager for Tayside Specialist Palliative Care Services. The post holder, at times, will be responsible for providing managerial support to the other service areas in Tayside Specialist Palliative Care Services and wider operational issues within inpatient services in Dundee Health and Social Care Partnership. You will be registered with a professional body and will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be able to demonstrate effective management skills, including the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams and across services. You will also be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills and have previous experience and or knowledge of supporting teams through service redesign and change management. We are seeking a practitioner with clinical experience appropriate to the role. The candidate will be educated to degree level with a completed Masters degree or evidence of working towards this.
