We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist to undertake a band 6 to 7 developmental role. Are you looking for an innovative role in a multidisciplinary team? This fantastic opportunity awaits a dynamic, motivated Physiotherapist looking to develop clinical, operational, and leadership skills.
As a Clinical Lead Physiotherapist, you will work closely with other clinical leads within the team. Within this role, you will be expected to provide clinical leadership and operational management to the team and manage the clinical caseload of patients to ensure safe patient flow. This is a multidisciplinary team that consists of nurses and AHPs to support the clinical needs of the patients and involves working closely with our partner organisations.
This is a developmental opportunity covering a period of approximately 18 months, depending on current skills, experience, and attributes and time to achieve the set band 7 competency requirements.

Main duties of the job
* Providing clinical input, demonstrating advanced competence in complex decision making, assessment, and management of clinical needs of a complex caseload.
* Supporting the development of individuals and the team through appraisal, personal development planning, coaching, and mentoring.
* Provide assurance and governance for the service.
* Lead the implementation of clinical protocols/pathways in the service.
* Work with the Professional Lead to implement the AHP strategic plan.
* Develop rehabilitation & recovery-focused services to enable people to be independent for longer, manage their health needs & lead healthy, active lives in their community.
* Support the service to implement clinical effectiveness programs by participating in any agreed research/audit projects, leading key aspects as appropriate.
* Provide strategic clinical leadership using the most up-to-date evidence-based theory.
* Work as a key member of the wider Carlisle and District ICC Leadership Team.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Qualified to degree level or equivalent experience
* Evidence of post-registration qualifications/professional development in related health field
* Chartered Society of Physiotherapy recognised Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy or equivalent
* Membership of relevant professional body
* Registered with Health Professional Council
* Post-registration qualification in teaching/assessing (ENB 998/NST 307)
* Training and/or qualification relating to clinical supervision
* Independent non-medical prescribing qualification
* Postgraduate teaching qualification
Experience
* Experience of providing supervision.
* Demonstrable experience of providing teaching/training
* Community Health Care rehabilitation
Knowledge
* Demonstrable interest in continuing developing knowledge and skills in area specialism
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Ability to manage complex caseload
* Ability to drive high-level multi-disciplinary practice to maximum potential
* Ability to engage in audit/research process in order to influence care according to best practice
* Knowledge of relevant national policies pertaining to profession
* Knowledge of up-to-date practice using research and evidence-based learning
* Skills in the use of methods of assessment, diagnosing, formulation/interventions, and evaluation
