Your new company:
You will be working for a building contractor with a M&E division.
Your new role:
Work in part of an estimating team out of the Tamworth office with occasional national site visits. No home working.
1. Capable of estimating D&B (Design & Build) tenders from RIBA stage 4 to 6 using issued project plans, specifications, and drawings to calculate the costs of materials, labour, and other expenses.
2. Needs to be able to design/estimate stage 3/4 information which may include estimating provisional pipework sizes for heat emitters and plant working calculations, take-offs, and generating reports.
3. Will be required to undertake site visits to review works on-site and take potential information from the site to produce variation costs.
4. Provide handover to the post-contract team.
5. Able to effectively communicate with the client.
6. Able to present mechanical estimates carried out once in discussions with main contractors.
7. Able to contact suppliers and plant providers (AHUs, Chillers, MVHRs, pipework suppliers, Sub-contractors) throughout the tender stage to ensure correct selection of equipment and prepare for unforeseen site conditions or material price fluctuations.
8. Once the project has been awarded, request accounts to set up a new project on the accounting system.
9. Once the project has been awarded, create a new job folder for the post-contract team and populate it with necessary information for optimum commercial and operational delivery.
10. Training junior members of the team.

You will need to be an established Mechanical Estimator within the Building Services Industry.
