We require a motivated nursing auxiliary with a genuine interest in caring for the older person to join our team. Ward 41 is a busy medical assessment unit with a commitment to multidisciplinary team working. We specialise in caring for patients with delirium, dementia and frailty.
You should be able to work using your own initiative and have an active interest in developing extending clinical skills i.e Venepuncture and TPR and BP. Experience in medicine for the elderly is desirable. Good communication skills are essential.
Hours will be worked to suit the needs of the service; this will include rotation to night duty.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
