The Recruitment Team at the University of St Andrews are seeking to appoint an exceptional talent acquisition and recruitment professional to join an already established service that is going through an exciting period of change as part of a large-scale HR Enhancement programme.
As a forward thinking and impactful talent professional, the Recruitment Specialist will be responsible for ensuring we attract and acquire the best people to the University of St Andrews by providing high quality advice and guidance to our Academic and Professional Services colleagues.
In line with our ongoing HR Enhancement activities, the Recruitment service will continue to modernise our approaches to talent attraction. Our goal is to ensure our team delivers best in class and inclusive recruitment experiences for candidates and internal colleagues alike. The Recruitment Specialist will work closely with the Recruitment Manager in delivering new added value talent acquisition and recruitment propositions to the organisation, and will be a leader in driving ongoing innovation and improvements to the service.
The University of St Andrews is a highly diverse organisation which is reflected in both our people and the roles they do. The Recruitment Specialist will have an opportunity to work across the breadth of the organisation and deliver critical appointments across Academic and Professional Services departments.
While an understanding of Higher Education or working in an in-house function would be an advantage, it is by no means essential. Instead the successful candidate will be a motivated individual who can demonstrate the capability to deliver end to end recruitment processes (briefing through to offer stage) through collaboration and positively influencing across the organisation.
Employees of the University have access to a wide range of staff benefits including:
* Annual leave of 34 days, plus 5 public holidays
* Financial contribution to relocation
* Membership of the S&LAS Pension Scheme with generous employer contributions
* A hybrid working environment, including partial homeworking where appropriate and a range of family friendly policies
* Staff discount scheme for local and national goods and services
* Free staff parking, employee Carshare and Cycle to Work Schemes and subsidised local bus travel
* Subsidised sports membership, reduced tuition fees on degree programmes for staff, access to training and development opportunities including LinkedIn Learning, access to library facilities, salary sacrifice scheme
* A range of wellbeing initiatives including membership of Peppy, a health application that connects staff to expert practitioners and personalized support on health matters
This post will be primarily based at the Eden Campus at Guardbridge, a state-of-the-art working environment for professional services units.
