We are looking for a Nurse Associate to join the team here at St James Medical Centre on a full or part time basis. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of great patient care supporting the existing team., Run clinics undertaking appointments such as
* Chronic disease monitoring
* cervical smears
* vaccination clinics including childhood vaccines
* NHS health checks and new patient checks
* Phlebotomy clinics, Spirometry testing and performing ECGs
* Improve Safety and Quality
* Undertake additional training as required.
* Communicate effectively with patients to plan care.
* Communicate sensitive and complex information verbally and in writing, tailoring the delivery as needed.
* Help and support patients to maintain physical and mental well being.
* Maintenance of accurate and contemporaneous patient records using the EMIS system.
We are based in semi-rural Rawtenstall and have a patient population of 9000 patients. We have the benefit of a number of additional Clinical roles in practice such as Clinical Pharmacists, Health and Wellbeing Coaches and Social prescribers along with a friendly and supportive clinical and admin team.
