About The Role
EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We're looking to recruit a Section Engineer with Highways experience to join our Twyford to Greatworth (T2G) section in the Brackley area.
The Section engineer will oversee the execution of the construction phase in their designated section, ensuring work is performed according to project plans and specifications.
You will develop and implement effective construction methodologies to ensure efficiency and quality in your section.
Managing the construction programme, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule and regularly monitor and report on the progress of construction. You will also prepare weekly and monthly look ahead schedules to forecast the progress of work and ensure that all work performed adheres to the project's quality standards.
In addition, you will implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations in your section. You will also keep accurate records of work completed, materials used and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise in the section and provide feasible solutions.
About The Candidate
- HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)
- Experience in construction industry, particularly in highway works is essential for this role.
- Proficiency in using engineering software like AutoCAD, Microsoft Project and Office 365.
- Familiarity with UK building and construction regulations.
- CSCS and SSSTS/SMSTS card
- Full driving licence required
