FINANCE ROLE – ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT /ADMINISTRATOR
Permanent position – Peterlee, County Durham
Salary £16,250 - £20,280 subject to hours / experience
25-30 hours Monday-Friday - Hours negotiable
Long-standing manufacturing company of over 40 years seeks an experienced financial professional looking to join a highly respected, market leading company supplying building systems to the construction industry.
Working within a supportive environment and as part of a three-person finance team, the role shall require your ability to:
* Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including sales ledger - generating invoices; purchase ledger - reconciling supplier transactions, preparing and posting journals.
* Resolve any transactional discrepancies and queries with other departments in the company, customers, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
* Assist with month end reconciliations and support the preparation of both monthly and year-end closing activities.
* Collaborate with internal departments to assist with process improvements to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Provide support in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to assist the senior leadership team’s strategic decision-making.
* Adapt to undertake additional tasks that may present themselves to meet the needs of the company.
This role would suit an individual who is used to a busy work schedule and has:
* Strong experience in transactional processing, accounts payable and reconciliations, with the ability to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
* The ability to work both individually and in a team of finance professionals to prioritise tasks to meet individual and team deadlines.
* Excellent organisational, communication and time management skills.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accounting accuracy.
* Excellent computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Power BI.
* Experience of using ERP systems preferably Microsoft Business Central.
* A firm grasp of accounting principles and accounting treatments.
