The Schedule and Rostering Team is responsible for the technology that facilitates the production and optimization of easyJet's flight program, as well as the creation and optimization of its crew rosters. The applications in this area are used for Operational and Scheduling Planning.
Schedule and Rostering is part of the Airline Operations team. This team provides solutions that are used to manage the effective functioning of the airline. Examples are crew management (AIMS), aircraft engineering & maintenance (AMOS), flight schedule planning (SABRE), flight planning (LIDO), aircraft management (TOPS), flight management and airport operations.
Job Purpose
* Provide analysis leading to BAU/ Enhancements of existing systems.
* Be part of a quick response capability in the team for system process analysis.
* Work with the technical product owners to provide ad-hoc analysis.
* Supply SME knowledge and resources to enterprise projects.
* Provide analysis that will boost the processes for technical innovation.
* Work closely with technical managers to explore process impacts from proposed enhancements.
* Consolidate and ensure consistency of processes across easyJet sites for deployed systems.
* Support the development of a business case.
* Support solution scoping, design, configuration, and build phases.
* Support the definition of test strategies and plans, including User Acceptance Testing.
* Support the identification and evaluation of potential solution options, which may involve the facilitation and definition of a request for information (RFI) or request for proposal (RFP).
* Support service design and transition in transitioning the solution into operational service, including business change readiness.
Job Accountabilities
* Develop strong working relationships with all relevant stakeholders and ensure that business needs are thoroughly documented.
* Conduct structured analysis to elicit, model, and define the capability gap using known techniques (context, business process, and/or use case modelling).
* Elicit, analyse, prioritise, and define all requirement types using appropriate techniques.
* Obtain requirement approvals and manage requirements change.
* Ensure technical delivery teams understand the business need and requirements, including their priority.
* Ensure service design and transition understand the levels of service required for the solution.
* Ensure business stakeholders are satisfied that the solution meets their business needs.
* Acquire in-depth knowledge of people/process/systems required for services provided by the domain that they are assigned.
Key Skills Required
* The ability to communicate with technical teams the business needs in language they understand.
* Practical experience in Business Analysis.
* A strong track record in delivering quality analysis outputs that help to ensure delivery of projects to cost, time, and quality.
* Experience of both waterfall and agile approaches to requirements analysis and documentation.
* Excellent relationship management skills with significant experience of interfacing with other internal IT functions, partners, and third-party suppliers.
* Excellent communicator, skilled in workshop facilitation, with the ability to challenge conventional thinking and understand the root causes of problems.
* Ability to broker/facilitate pragmatic solutions amongst stakeholders with competing business needs.
* Resilient and able to work under pressure.
* Airline/Operations experience is desirable.
