Salary range: £26,338 to £27,644 per annum pro rata, £15,802 to £16,586 per annum

About this role
We are currently seeking a versatile, flexible post holder looking at getting first-hand experience in health, safety and compliance to join our supportive and friendly Estate Management Team to coordinate and advise on a range of health, safety and compliance services across our university sites. This “hands on” role will complement the existing team in the delivery of Estate Management legal compliance activities. This will comprise of performing statutory testing, including but not limited to fire alarms, emergency lighting, meter readings. You will be required to undertake admin duties relating to any testing undertaken. You will also support the health and safety team in conducting equipment checks, simple inspections that will cover a broad range of health and safety topics associated with a university.
About you
You will have a good general education, and good knowledge of safety and compliance issues in the workplace. You will be able to demonstrate a high standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail. You will need good interpersonal and communication skills, a professional manner and the ability to build relationships. You will need to be approachable, adaptable and conscientious. Previous experience within a similar environment is advantageous, however training can be given. You must have the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage and prioritise workload.
