We’re looking for a compassionate and resilient Level 2 SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team in Blackburn, supporting primary aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Location: Blackburn, East Lancashire
Start date: January 2025
Hours: Full-time 08.30-15.00 approx. Monday-Friday, Term Time only
Pay: £12.90-£13.50 per hour
Qualification: Level 2 minimum requirement
SEMH Teaching Assistant | The Role:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working closely with students who require additional support due to emotional or behavioural difficulties. Your primary responsibility will be to help manage behaviour in the classroom, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. You will also provide one-to-one or small group support to help students re-engage with their education, developing strategies to boost their confidence and self-esteem.
As the new SEMH Teaching Assistant you'll collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create personalised learning plans and offer practical and emotional support that meets each student's unique needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
