The Role We are looking for an Account Handler to join the Construction team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting our broking team starting off, the work will be preparing slips, endorsements, spreadsheets and the like for the brokers to market in Lloyd’s and elsewhere. This will provide the framework to learn and understand the business within a dynamic and growing team and will provide solid foundations for the start of your insurance career. What you’ll do: Strong involvement in assigned projects alongside senior members of team and contributes to other projects as required Participates and provides input to team meetings to ensure appropriate information is considered Assists in new business activity to aid effective planning and resourcing Reviews client documentation to ensure that information presented is sufficiently comprehensive/accurate to support the quoting process Drafts client quotation documents and prepares market presentations Develops strong relationships with markets Produces high quality and compliant market documentation ensuring appropriate authorisations are secured Takes responsibility for data entry, client files, credit control and chasing subjectivities where required to support and improve high levels of client service/internal process execution and to facilitate informed analysis Maintains appropriate client files, and oversees the prompt and accurate production of documentation to best meet client, company and regulatory requirements Adheres to company policies and procedures and obtains all authorisation. Liaises with processing technicians and accounting teams as required Who we’re looking for: A determination and willingness to learn about insurance process and the London market Ability to work well as part of an open and collaborative team Organised with attention to detail Relevant experience in an account handling or technical role is desirable. Insurance knowledge is not required but preferred, and training will be provided. Confidence to work with others and provide a supporting role to the team. Advanced Excel and computer literate skills in basic software (i.e Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Word etc.) Has begun to or has interest in studying towards their ACII What do we offer in return?
