Loreto St Albans is an 11-18 girls’ academy recognised in October 2024 by OFSTED as outstanding in the four key areas. With the support of our enthusiastic and accomplished staff our students achieve excellent results, and the Progress 8 performance measure has regularly placed Loreto in the top 5% of schools in the country. The school is oversubscribed and has earned an excellent reputation for discipline, pastoral care and academic standards.
We are looking to appoint a committed and inspirational Head of Social Sciences (Psychology and Sociology) who is forward thinking and able to effectively lead, inspire and motivate both staff and students. The ideal candidate will be passionate, have secure subject knowledge and will fully support the ethos of the school.
Visitors often say they are struck by the calm atmosphere and warmth and kindness of our students and staff. To help you make your decision on whether or not to apply, we welcome visits to the school to meet the Headteacher and to see the school in action.
