Job Opportunity: Plant Operations Manager - Green Energy Provider
We are currently seeking a skilled Plant Operations Manager for a leading Green Energy provider based in County Antrim.
Position Overview:
The Plant Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the plant. This role involves managing and developing a team to ensure the plant meets all key performance indicators (KPIs) and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing production or engineering maintenance leadership and be skilled in continuous improvement, sustainability, and strategic growth. Reporting directly to senior management, the manager will also be responsible for maintaining operational records, analysing trends, and ensuring accurate regulatory submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the plant team, ensuring a safe working environment and efficient processes.
2. Oversee all health & safety protocols and ensure conformance with regulations.
3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maximize plant and resource efficiency.
4. Maintain and build strong customer relationships at all levels.
5. Ensure the upkeep and repair of plant equipment, managing maintenance schedules.
6. Report operational records, KPI performance, and financials to senior management.
7. Foster employee development and retention, ensuring career satisfaction within the team.
8. Contribute to strategic projects and future business growth initiatives.
9. Maximize gas productivity and efficiency, minimizing financial losses and supporting logistics.
Candidate Profile:
1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a processing/production environment or the green energy sector.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant IT systems.
3. Strong leadership and management skills, with a track record of team development.
4. Hands-on approach to operational management, with a focus on upskilling and motivating the team.
5. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
6. Experience with P&L management, KPI tracking, and project management for sustainability.
7. Strong time management skills and flexibility regarding working hours.
8. Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality control processes.
