Essential Duties Supervises the performance of all housekeeping personnel through personal inspections, subordinate supervisors and other quality control techniques. Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff. Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service. Selects, trains, evaluates and disciplines all housekeeping personnel. This will include the coordination of Hazardous Materials Training. Keeps required records, reports and studies. Inspects all housekeeping equipment regularly for proper functioning and safety. Coordinates apartment refurbishing with the Plant Services Director & Marketing Director. Regularly inventories supplies and equipment, established PAR levels and insures purchases are held within the established budget. Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods. Selects and purchases new furnishings (guest rooms, common spaces). Stays abreast of product availability and quality of current condition of existing product. Assures all policy and procedures and safety practices are adhered to by all Housekeeping/Custodial service staff. Serves on the community Safety Committee. Implements and monitors safety program of the department and all infection control policies and procedures. Orders necessary supplies, chemicals and equipment. Tests and evaluates new products to improve efficiency. Complies with all federal, state and local codes, laws and regulations governing the Community and the Community Health Center. Delegates authority to supervisory staff for task details to facilitate the smooth flow of materials and services. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
