We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our Estates and Facilities Team based in Coventry. The Maintenance Technician will play a pivotal role in supporting the Maintenance Operations Manager. You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance, support with installations of facility plant and site services. Main Responsibilities As a Maintenance Technician you will: To perform daily preventative and Breakdown maintenance activities on workshop and Plant equipment Carryout Mechanical repairs on plant equipment Work alongside external contractors to ensure facility repairs, renewals and maintenance are carried out in respect to MTC instruction and standards In conjunction with the Health and Safety team review external contractors health and safety documentation prior to work commencing on site Ensure high standards of housekeeping, work quality and work attitude Carry out Fault diagnosis and problem solving on Facility Plant Respond to breakdowns & ad-hoc maintenance requests across all sites Produce service reports for all work carried out Support problem solving activities on equipment or system faults Carryout annual services on Facility plant Carry out statutory legislative inspections on Plant Complete required training and development to maintain competent in the role. Using a company mobile phone/Tablet or laptop to log/close and update work orders on a CAFM system. Liaise with contractors or external suppliers where required and clearly communicate technical issues Ensure that work is carried out to a high standard of quality and in line with current legal standards, company policies and procedures. Person Specification We are looking for a candidate who is/has: Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience Previous Experience in a Maintenance role Relevant recognised L3 Qualifications in the appropriate mechanical maintenance disciplines Ability to work at height Full UK Driver's License is essential to the role.
