Description
The Fund Accounting team consists of five team members within our London office. The successful candidate will work within the Fund Accounting team and work closely with other support functions. We are looking for someone who will provide a dependable and professional fund accounting service, and to support the existing team with an increasing amount of complex funds.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the daily P&L process, including attribution of P&L by driver;
* Responsible for the production of the daily, weekly and monthly fund return estimates and attribution;
* Full month-end close process, including:
o Adherence to valuation source hierarchy and overall valuation policy;
o Assisting administrator in receiving independent confirmation of external valuations; and
o Reconciliation of estimated NAV / P&L to final NAV / P&L.
* Monitoring of daily valuation changes to ensure movements are in line with market drivers;
* Internal reporting including the preparation of monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc reports for senior management summarising P&L attribution, fund performance, key drivers, changes and/or risks to business continuity.
* Assist in the development of new business, fund start-ups, new products or new corporate structures; and
* External reporting, including:
o Assist in preparation of annual audited financial statements; and
o Regulatory reporting - assist in the preparation and review of Form PF and AIFMD, for example.
* Initiate and facilitate process improvements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Skilled communicator with strong interpersonal skills;
* Particularly adept in Excel and other Microsoft programs;
* Process improvement skills, ideally with VBA
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a range of competing priorities and projects to tight deadlines;
Education and Professional Qualifications
* Educated to degree (or equivalent) level or higher, preferably from a leading university;
* Strong grades in relevant subjects associated with this role; and
* Newly qualified, or close to qualification, in a relevant professional qualification, such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
