Business Development Manager
Location: Feering, Essex *DUE TO LOCATION, YOU WILL NEED YOUR OWN TRANSPORT*
Reports to: Managing Director
Responsible for: Leading the Business Development team, driving growth initiatives, fostering client relationships, and collaborating with internal departments to expand the company’s commercial reach.
Role Overview:
Our client are a leading Partner in the Property & Facility Risk Management Services. We are assisting them with the hiring of a dynamic and strategic Business Development Manager to take ownership of expanding market opportunities and strengthening client engagement. This role is crucial in leading a high-performing team, identifying new business avenues, reactivating previous clients, and ensuring the company remains competitive within its sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Growth & Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities, develop strategies to drive revenue growth, and ensure the company stays ahead of industry trends.
* Performance & KPI Management: Set clear goals for the Business Development team, track progress, and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
* Client Engagement & Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, both new and existing, ensuring long-term partnerships.
* Account Management & Client Retention: Oversee the early stages of client relationships, focusing on re-engaging past clients and expanding service offerings.
* Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with operations, marketing, and client services teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
* Marketing & Brand Visibility: Support marketing efforts through targeted campaigns, networking events, and industry conferences to enhance the company’s market presence.
* CRM & Data Management: Ensure accurate documentation of client interactions, business development activities, and sales pipelines within CRM and internal systems.
* Compliance & Process Oversight: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, including quality, environmental, and safety management systems.
* Tender & Proposal Management: Oversee responses to contractor applications, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), and tender submissions to secure new contracts.
* Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and guide the Business Development team, setting objectives, monitoring performance, and fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
* Industry Insight & Best Practices: Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity, applying industry best practices to business development strategies.
