These projects encompass a range of technologies and are at different stages of development. The Fire Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the construction project complies fully with UK fire legislation, site requirements, and other relevant standards. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of a robust fire safety management system, encompassing strategies, standards, and procedures. The role also includes fostering a positive fire safety culture across the project and its contractors. Key Responsibilities Managing fire safety arrangements and leading the Fire Safety Team to deliver an integrated approach to fire safety across the construction site. Developing, monitoring, and reviewing a fire safety management system, including the creation of policies, standards, and strategies. Anticipating future fire safety needs based on risk profiles and ensuring construction activities align with legislative compliance and safety objectives. Delivering on monthly and annual objectives, goals, and KPIs for the Fire Safety Team to support the overall project delivery programme. Establishing and maintaining fire safety forums, meetings, and engagements to plan, manage, and coordinate fire safety in line with site requirements. Leading fire safety-related interactions with regulatory bodies, ensuring confidence in the adequacy of fire safety arrangements. Overseeing the development of temporary fire safety solutions, reviewing fire risk assessments, and driving continuous improvement of fire safety arrangements and systems. Qualifications and Experience Membership (or working towards) of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) or an equivalent organization. Relevant fire safety qualifications from an approved professional body or organization (e.g., UK Fire Service College, FPA, IFE, NEBOSH). A minimum of 2 years' experience in health, safety, and fire safety. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health, safety, and fire safety principles and practices.
