Job summary We are looking for motivated nurse, forward thinking and compassionate to work with our nursing teams on Avon 4 to deliver our quality care agenda to the highest standard. Avon 4 is a 17 bedded acute medicine ward that delivers high standard of care and support to acutely ill patients and on this ward we have MDT approach. We aim to provide an individualised and supportive environment for patients in which to deliver this specialised care for acutely unwell patients. Experience in venepuncture, cannulation and the care of acutely ill patients would be an advantage, also experience mentoring students. We welcome newly or recently qualified staff nurse with good communication skills and pride themselves on delivering quality care under supervision. Main duties of the job What you'll be responsiblefor: Assessing and monitoring patient conditions Checking symptoms and vital signs and arranging diagnostic tests Displaying excellent analytical ability and sound decision making in changing clinical situations Working as an effective team member and promoting team and interdisciplinary relationships The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.
