Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety Inspection Technician based in Boston Clinical Engineering.
The successful candidate will:
* contribute to the services we provide across the Trust and our Partners,
* work as part of a team providing a clinical support service that includes the servicing, calibration and repair of electronic medical devices.
The post is based at Pilgrim Hospital Boston, though work on other ULHT sites is required as part of the role, therefore a current valid driving licence is essential.
Main duties of the job
The primary role of the post is the inspection and electrical safety testing of medical devices in a clinical environment.
A practical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and professional manner are essential.
Ideally, candidates will have previous experience in engineering including inspection and safety testing.
Applications are also encouraged from candidates who are genuinely practical individuals, who meet the minimum entry qualifications but do not have any experience.
Structured training will be provided for the successful candidates.
The minimum entry qualification is one A-level or NVQ level 3 or National Certificate in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
Informal visits to the department are available on request.
A practical test will form part of the interview.
