JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for performing delegated clinical and administrative duties, specifically direct support to primary care providers and some direct care to patients. Responsible to work in partnership with other team members with him will be jointly accountable in achieving clinic goals.
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Clinic Lead
JOB DUTIES
Responsible to perform duties under the direction of the physician or nurse in examination and treatment of patients, including the following:
1. Provide clinic services such as TB skin tests and administration of prescribed medication.
2. Draw blood, give injections, administer and read skin tests, administer immunizations and vaccinations, obtain laboratory specimens.
3. Prepare patients for doctor examination, position instruments and equipment, and assist physician.
4. Take medical history of patients and check vital signs.
5. Schedule appointments and keep x-ray and medical records.
6. Responsible for inventory of laboratory supplies.
7. Responsible for back-office logs (daily/monthly).
8. Responsible for checking oxygen tank and crash cart supplies.
9. Act as assistant for prescription refills.
10. Clean and disinfect exam rooms and lab areas, autoclave instruments.
11. Stock exam rooms; keep track of medical supplies to order when low.
12. Participate and help implement quality improvement directives.
13. Attend all required meetings and trainings.
14. May be required to pick up vaccines, medical supplies, etc.
15. Consistently demonstrate and uphold CCCHC’s principle of providing quality health and human services to the medically underserved and low-income populations in a culturally sensitive manner.
16. Punctuality and Attendance: This is an essential job duty for CCCHC’s employees given the impact on patients.
17. All other duties, as assigned.

12. Required to have knowledge of CHDP guidelines, Immunizations schedule and AAP periodicity table.
13. Required to have knowledge of OB/GYN.
Education And Experience Requirements
1. Medical Assistant Certification or Diploma required.
2. Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
