Our client is a well-established business looking for a new Senior Bookkeeper due to the retirement of a long-time member of staff. Taking on sole responsibility for all the accounts for the business, the successful candidate will be responsible for duties such as:
1. Sales and purchase ledger
2. Banking, bank reconciliation
3. VAT returns
4. Monthly management accounts / reporting
5. Payroll duties for circa 60 staff on a monthly basis, including pensions administration
6. Preparation of books to pass on to Accountants at year-end
7. Use of Sage software
Ideally, you will have experience working within a similar role. The company uses Sage, so previous experience with this software would be highly beneficial. The company is ideally hoping for someone to work 20 hours per week, with approximately 3-4 hours needed in the office, while the rest of the work can be done from home.
