Buildings and Site Manager required for an established educational facility based in Wiltshire. This role offers a great career opportunity for an experienced facilities manager with previous experience within the education service sector or similar. Your key responsibilities will include the overall site services, the allocation, inspection, and monitoring of contracted buildings, and remedial works. Based on full-time hours, working Monday to Friday, this position offers an excellent annual salary up to £29,093 plus a range of highly attractive employee benefits.
You are responsible for the management and direction of external building contractors, ensuring that the works are carried out on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to the school and wider business. Responsible for the school and premise site security systems, ensuring they remain in excellent working order on a 24/7 operation. Duties will include the assurance of strict Health and Safety Regulations including Fire and Evacuation, Asbestos and Legionella checks, Security System Testing, assessment and investigation, site access routes, and site vehicle checks.
As Buildings and Facilities Manager, you are responsible for arranging internal decoration and site repair works, this includes obtaining the best price versus budget allowances, ensuring timescales match those of the school, and consistently ensuring a high standard of work. Reporting to the Regional Estates Manager, there is a need to attend regular meetings and provide reports and improvement logs, detailing all works and possible concerns. Due to the nature of work, there is a requirement to undertake physical lifting, stretching, and bending plus the ability and willingness to take on light internal maintenance and remedial work to fixtures and fitting. There is a need to work in adverse weather conditions, therefore please be prepared to dress accordingly as indicated by the different seasons.
Ideally, you will have worked in a similar role or within an Estate Management post, have extensive Health and Safety Site experience, and hold a Full UK Driving Licence
