We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Design Engineering Manager to lead the design and development of improvements to product and processes to support manufacturing growth, new products, and continuous improvement projects!
In this role you will be providing leadership, strategy, and solutions to prevent and address issues across production and development teams. It will also involve providing solutions to complex problems and driving excellence for meeting technical standards and processes.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Responsible for the team that develop, implement, and maintain process flow and manufacturing documentation to allow products built with optimized cycle time and best quality.
* Actively involve supplier management activities, like incoming quality issue resolve, new supplier qualification or QBR meeting. Driving supplier for better quality and lower cost.
* Provide manufacturing engineering support for system level challenges.
* As technical owner, owns end to end yield and scrap rate, including weekly yield report, failure analysis, implement improvement actions for higher yield and lower scrap rate.
* Closely work with planning and production teams to plan the engineering resource to support any ramp up or material shortage.
* Interface closely with our design teams, and act as manufacturing representative in key design review meetings and as part of New Product Development teams.
* Help establish new manufacturing process and assist design engineering with prototype build.
* Establish equipment control system, including new equipment commission procedure, regular check, maintenance and calibration.
* Manage the quality system by completing failure analysis of all issues seen internally and in the field.
* Monitor the daily activities of the team and ensure the support to shop floor for all build plan and meeting shipment schedule.
* Work within diverse teams and communicate with peers, interdisciplinary engineering groups, customers, and suppliers.
* Work with team to ensure to have the plan in place for EOL parts/materials.

* Involve with Engineering/NPI team to ensure a smooth transactions between PLC phases
* Review failure modes for all released products and provide guidance to MDE team to come up with solutions.
Your experience & qualifications
* Ideally educated to Degree level in an Engineering/Manufacturing subject or hold an equivalent level of experience.
* Strong experience in leading manufacturing processes and quality control methods.
* Possess troubleshooting and analytical skills to lead and guide the team to provide solution and technical support effectively.
* Experience in leading and executing supplier process audits to review and improve process efficiency.
* Previous experience in establishing and sustaining manufacturing processes for efficiency and driving quality control on materials and equipment.
* Demonstrated success in leading a team of highly qualified Engineers with diversified skill sets.
* Project management skills to manage escalations across various functional groups, participate in a product lifecycle team, and to lead high profile projects to improve reliability, testing, failure analysis, design, and supplier issues.
* Ability to optimally connect with a broad range of individuals and teams globally to proactively develop positive relationships.
* Ideally have knowledge of semiconductor processes (PVD/CVD, etch, litho, etc)
* Familiar with temperature sensors (RTD, IC,etc…)
* Familiar with clean room compatible material.
