We are seeking an experienced Data Lead to oversee the data migration and integration efforts for a full-platform Workday implementation, encompassing both HR and Finance modules. The Data Lead will work closely with functional teams, technical teams, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless data integration, governance, and transformation across the project. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Workday’s data architecture, a strong understanding of HR and Finance data processes, and excellent project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the data migration strategy for the Workday implementation, covering both HR and Finance systems.
2. Define and execute data governance processes to ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to gather data requirements, ensuring alignment with business processes and system capabilities.
4. Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities, ensuring the accurate migration of legacy data into the Workday platform.
5. Manage data validation and reconciliation efforts, ensuring discrepancies are resolved before go-live.
6. Work with third-party vendors and internal teams to integrate data from other systems (e.g., payroll, benefits, financial reporting) into Workday.
7. Develop and maintain a data migration plan and schedule, identifying key milestones and risks.
8. Provide regular updates on the status of data-related activities, including data readiness, migration progress, and issue resolution.
9. Manage and mentor a team of data specialists and analysts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work.
10. Collaborate with the Change Management team to provide insights on data impacts to users and stakeholders.
11. Ensure data privacy and compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
12. Support post-go-live data maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting efforts.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Experience in data management, with a strong focus on ERP implementations, preferably Workday.
2. Hands-on experience with Workday HR and Finance modules, particularly in data migration and integration.
3. Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL tools, and data migration methodologies.
4. Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
5. Proven ability to lead data teams through complex ERP implementations.
6. Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
8. Familiarity with compliance and data security regulations (GDPR, SOX, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Workday certification in Data Migration or Integration.
2. Knowledge of other ERP systems and their data architecture (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
3. Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of data professionals.
4. Project Management: Ability to manage multiple data workstreams and deliver on time.
5. Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
6. Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
7. Problem-Solving: Adept at identifying and resolving data issues and risks.
