This position will be based in London with a hybrid schedule allowing two days remote work per week.
Overview
This new role supports Everest’s international insurance business. The role involves leading risk management development for our syndicate as Everest establishes its own Managing Agent. The ideal candidate will have relevant industry experience, expertise in risk frameworks, organizational skills, and excellent communication and influencing abilities.
Role Purpose
Working with senior colleagues across functions and offices, this high-profile role will shape the risk function's future. The candidate will provide risk insights to support strategic decisions, requiring extensive knowledge of non-life insurance, strategic risks, and regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities
* Establish Risk Committee and reporting processes
* Support regulatory and governance compliance
* Develop and execute annual risk plans
* Enhance Everest’s risk culture
* Implement and embed risk management frameworks meeting Lloyd’s and PRA standards
* Manage regulatory developments related to risk management
* Create risk indicators and dashboards
* Oversee ORSA process and reports
* Validate internal models and produce validation reports
* Conduct deep risk reviews
* Collaborate with stakeholders for risk advice and oversight
* Contribute to Group ERM initiatives
* Prepare risk reports for management and boards
* Support business planning processes

* Deep knowledge of non-life insurance risks and Lloyd’s requirements
* Experience with internal models and validation
