Job Title: Regional Procurement Manager Location: London Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 £5,800 Car Allowance 10% Bonus Role Overview: Seeking a results-oriented Procurement Manager with FMCG experience, ready to drive growth and operational excellence. This role is for an individual energised by building robust supplier and stakeholder relationships to support key business goals. With a strong analytical mindset, numeracy skills, and the ability to communicate a clear strategic vision, this role involves a mix of strategic planning and hands-on execution across categories. As Regional Procurement Manager, you will oversee category strategies for Dairy & Egg, Flour, and Grains in the UK & Ireland, reporting to the regional Procurement Head. You’ll ensure supply continuity, cost optimization, and sustainable sourcing within these categories. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Responsibilities: Develop and implement regional category strategies for Dairy & Egg, focusing on cost management, cash flow, continuity, sustainability, and innovation. Build and manage key partnerships to align procurement goals with business objectives. Establish Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes for regional suppliers. Work cross-functionally with teams in manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D to deliver productivity and continuity projects. Lead and execute strategic projects in collaboration with teams in R&D, supply chain, and quality. Share best practices and benchmarks with global and regional teams. Drive regional procurement processes, leveraging tools for efficient category management. Provide insights into spend and volume data to align regional actions with global strategy. Develop cost breakdowns and should-cost models, assess market trends, and prepare tender documents. Operational Responsibilities: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing sites to ensure timely, complete deliveries and reduce risk. Implement and maintain a contract balance process for the Dairy & Egg category. Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and budgeting for the category. Monitor market trends, source new suppliers, and perform horizon scanning. Finalize supplier contracts and ensure alignment with company terms and compliance. Gather requirements (e.g., volumes, specifications, KPIs) from stakeholders. Oversee volume and spend management by supplier, aligning with business needs. Manage contract terms locally and support customs clearance as necessary. Update regional price lists, manage price reconciliation, and execute physical hedges. Track supplier performance, manage non-conformance issues, and handle claims. Qualifications and Experience: Degree or extensive experience in FMCG procurement. Strong negotiation, analytical, and relationship management skills. Ability to influence and gain credibility with senior stakeholders quickly. Experience making complex decisions in challenging environments. Proven track record in challenging established practices and encouraging innovation. Project management and leadership skills, with the ability to develop a 3-year category plan. Experience managing multiple work streams and working effectively within teams. Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing change. Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels. Knowledge of Dairy & Egg or commodity categories is a plus. Understanding of sustainability in commodity sourcing. MCIPS or equivalent certification preferred.
