Application closing date: 31 st August 2024 CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Brand Strategy Development : Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies that align with the Club's values, objectives, and target audience, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all touchpoints. Responsible for building a data insights and analysis function that informs brand strategy and campaign development Commercial and International Marketing Campaigns : Plan and oversee integrated marketing campaigns to support commercial growth plans, including ticketing, hospitality, retail, partnerships, and sponsorships. To target international markets to increase the Club's global visibility, fan base, and commercial opportunities. Partnership Management: Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with international brands, sponsors, influencers, and football organisations to amplify the Club's presence and create mutually beneficial opportunities for brand exposure and revenue generation. Digital Presence Enhancement : Be accountable for the delivery of a specific digital ecosystem, aligned to the Club’s wider plans, to support the comprehensive brand building and marketing plans. Work alongside the digital team to enhance the Club's online presence through engaging and relevant content, social media strategies, and digital activations tailored to global audiences. Merchandising and Licensing : Collaborate with the merchandising team to develop and promote branded merchandise and licensing opportunities that resonate with international fans and capitalise on global market trends. Fan Engagement Initiatives : Develop innovative fan engagement initiatives and experiences that foster a sense of belonging and connection among international supporters, leveraging digital platforms, events, and community utreach programs. Market Research and Analysis : Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging global trends, consumer preferences, and growth opportunities in key international markets, informing strategic decision-making and campaign optimisation. Team leadership and development: Leading and developing the digital, brand creative and marketing teams. Identifying future leaders in the business and helping them to grow their careers Measurement : Set and deliver against agreed KPIs PERSON SPECIFICATION Qualifications and Experience Essential Requirements Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field 8 to 10 years’ experience in brand management, marketing or related roles, preferably within the sports industry or international marketing context Desirable Requirements Relevant professional qualifications or certifications Knowledge and Skills Essential Requirements Deep understanding of football culture, global fan dynamics and market trends, with a passion for the sport and for the Birmingham City FC brand. Proven track record of developing and executing successful brand strategies, marketing campaigns and partnerships, on an international scale. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently. Excellent communication negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across different cultures and geographies. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics and campaign evaluation to drive data driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
