About the role:
1. Supporting service users from point of entry into the service on their dependency and recovery journey, via our CGL Directory of Services.
2. Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral.
3. Reducing dependency & recovery related harm to service users and the wider community within the parameters of the National Probation Service referral.
4. Promoting carer, service user and community involvement.
5. Onward referral for ongoing support from partnership services.
6. Working with service users to support social (re)integration,
enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination.
7. Support recruitment and development of D & R Motivators.
About you:
8. 2 years relevant experience of working within criminal justice, substance misuse (including alcohol) or social care services with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
9. A commitment to multi-agency working and establishing partnerships with other professions to achieve good outcomes for the service user group,. mental health
services, criminal justice agencies, community groups etc.
10. Extensive knowledge of the issues facing offenders including (but not limited to) substance misuse, health and Personal Wellbeing.
11. Extensive knowledge of the rehabilitation process and the contributing factors to success and making long term sustained offending behaviour and social functioning.
12. Experience of delivering groups or pods and managing group dynamics, such as conflict or challenging behaviour.
13. Experience of working in an Outcome focused environment.
14. Accomplished written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of personal IT competency.
15. The ability to accurately update and maintain records in a timely fashion and to work to deadlines for the submission of information.
16. Ability to travel as required, including where public transport is not available.
17. Provide leadership in your area of responsibility.
18. To manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users.
19. Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to engage successfully with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
20. The ability to work collaboratively with others (internally and externally).
