Percival are excited to be working exclusively with The Way Youth Zone to help them recruit for a new Philanthropy Manager to join their small but mighty fundraising team.
The Way is a fantastic youth charity providing universal, inclusive and high-quality youth provision, letting young people really reach their full potential. Having opened in 2016, they offer a huge range of activities in a state-of-the-art facility run by youth workers, accommodating people aged 8-18. This is a new role for an experienced relationship-builder to make a significant contribution to securing a legacy for thousands of local young people.
Job Title: Philanthropy Manager
Report to: Head of Fundraising and Communications
Salary: £32,000-£38,000
Working Pattern: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Wolverhampton, WV3 0NR (4 days per week in the office)
The post holder will be responsible for building a new business pipeline of major donor prospects, with the aim of giving at a level of £5,000+. You will be developing strategic and personalised solicitation and stewardship plans for a portfolio of donors and prospects to generate a new income stream for the charity.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have excellent relationship management and experience in bringing in new business to maximise income, either from the charity sector or commercially.
* Have experience consistently hitting and/or exceeding both financial and non-financial KPIs.
* Have demonstrable leadership experience and input into an organisation’s fundraising strategy.
* Have the ability to produce high-quality proposals and make 'the ask' to high net-worth individuals.
* Be entrepreneurial and an outside-the-box thinker.
