About us
Hamilton Academy is a thriving primary school with friendly supportive staff and happy well-motivated children. Our three-form entry multi-cultural academy is committed to raising standards and giving all our children the opportunity to develop as individuals.
The role will involve cleaning and washing up, along with serving meals and supporting pupils in the dining hall.
Meals are prepared off-site in the morning and delivered to the school ready for serving, so there is only minor food preparation involved in the role.
About you
Previous experience working in a food preparation/service role would be an advantage, but not essential. We are looking for someone who is positive, polite, understands the importance of good hygiene, and will enjoy working in a school environment with young pupils.
The successful candidate will also need to be physically fit as there is bending and lifting involved in the role.
School application forms only - CVs are not accepted for any position within the school.
Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and Hamilton Academy reserves the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants are required to declare:
* All unspent convictions and conditional cautions
* All spent convictions and adult cautions that are not protected (i.e. that are not filtered out) as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2020).
It is an offence to apply for the role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. All shortlisted applicants will be required to complete self-disclosure form and return prior to interview.
