ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to the company continuing to win work, there is a need for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a £400M infrastructure project which involves 32.5KM worth of tunnelling. You will be responsible for managing costs to make as much profit as possible for the company on the projects you will be working on and ensuring delivery of payment whilst developing client relationships. You will be overseeing and managing sub-contractors as well as managing a team of Quantity Surveyors. The successful individual will be involved in viewing and evaluating payments including site measurements as necessary) and will undertake general surveying of projects as required including reviewing and pricing of variations and preparing valuations with Project Managers. This project involves all aspects of heavy civil engineering such as; concrete works, shafts, and deep drainage.
REQUIREMENTS
You will be required to have a good standard of education preferably to Foundation Degree level (HND,HNC) in a Construction, Civils, commercial management or quantity surveying or equivalent qualification. Having experience working for a Tier One Main Contractor on large Civil Engineering projects. It is important to have experience working within highways, airports or rail for a tier 1 main contractor as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and to show good long-term stability at the companies you have worked for. As well as a stable career you will need at least 10 years’ experience working in Civil Engineering.
