Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Health and Safety Advisor/Inspector with a NEBOSH certification and a solid, track record—ideally with a main contractor.
This role will involve conducting site inspections, producing reports, and managing all health and safety aspects of new build projects. You will be joining an existing Health and Safety team to reinforce our commitment to safety standards and will report directly to the Construction Director.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out thorough site inspections 3-4 days per week, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
* Prepare and manage RAMS, ensuring that all activities meet the required safety guidelines.
* Dedicate 1-2 days per week to working in the office or from home, completing necessary reports, paperwork, and health and safety audits.
* Provide ongoing support to site teams, advising on best health and safety practices and identifying areas for improvement.
* Ensure that all contractors adhere to relevant health and safety protocols on site.
* Investigate incidents or near misses, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
* Liaise with site management, contractors, and other internal epartments.
Qualifications and Experience:
* NEBOSH certification is essential.
* Demonstrable experience with main contractors is preferred.
* A steady career track record—not someone frequently moving between roles.
* Strong background in managing the full scope of responsibilities for a Health and Safety Advisor/Inspector, including RAMS, site inspections, and health and safety documentation.
* Experience with new build high-rise projects would be highly advantageous.
