Senior Systems Analyst
Join a dynamic team as a Senior Systems Analyst, where you'll make a substantial impact supporting one of our key clients. In this role, you'll act as a trusted advisor, overseeing the procurement and deployment of new technology within the company's IT infrastructure.
You'll work with the latest technology to support diverse environments, assess infrastructure components and provide tailored recommendations. This Level 2-3 support role demands a deep understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11, proficiency with ticketing systems, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Work Setup: Fully remote, with the flexibility to work onsite or in a hybrid model if preferred.
Candidates for this role must be based in Northern Ireland.
Working Hours: Thursday to Sunday - 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM BST/GMT
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver comprehensive end-user and desktop support across global offices, remote setups, and executive teams
* Provide support for Office 365 applications and Windows 10/11 operating systems
* Manage Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 Exchange Online environments
* Oversee Citrix Cloud and Microsoft Azure VDA/VDI platforms
* Support and maintain HP Workstations, HP Thin Clients, and Lenovo laptops
* Administer Cisco VoIP phones, Unified Communications Manager, and Unity Connection
* Manage video conferencing tools such as Zoom, Neat, and Poly
* Assist with financial market data applications, including Bloomberg Terminal
* Conduct basic network troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, VPN/VDI connectivity, performance issues)
* Monitor and resolve service tickets efficiently using JIRA Service Desk
* Participate in office relocations and infrastructure expansions
* Oversee device inventory and asset tracking
* Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
Required Skills & Experience:
* At least 5 years of desktop support experience in a hedge fund or investment advisory setting
* Outstanding customer service skills with excellent written and verbal communication
* Strong passion for technology and continuous self-improvement
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail; quick adaptation to new systems
* Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
* Strong follow-through and consistent attention to detail
* In-depth knowledge of desktop support best practices, hardware, and software
* Experience with mobile device support
* Proficiency in remote user support and troubleshooting VPN/VDI connectivity issues
* Familiarity with PowerShell, scripting, automation, and packaging tools like Microsoft SCCM is advantageous
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prior experience in financial services, such as trading floors, hedge funds, or asset management firms
* Familiarity with market data and trading platforms like Bloomberg
