Would you like to be part of a forward-thinking mental health inpatient service? The Ruby ward team is looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join them.
KMPT offers an extensive preceptorship program for newly qualified staff. Our ward environments offer a unique opportunity to develop your Occupational Therapy skills within a supportive therapy and multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
As Occupational Therapists, we are positioned to shape the culture of inpatient settings to promote a therapeutic day that co-exists to enhance therapeutic interventions and recovery-focused ethos on the units.
Applicants are required to be car drivers and have access to a car for home visits and assessments unless supported by the Equality Act whereby the Trust will be expected to make reasonable adjustments for the successful candidate.
Please be aware that although we are a Mental Health Ward, all staff are expected to wear PPE in line with Government Guidelines.
You must be able to complete Physical Interventions Training to work on the ward.

Probation Period: New employees external to Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust are subject to a six-month probationary period.
