GIB Asset Management (GIB AM) is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Sustainability Analyst to join our entrepreneurial Sustainability team. This is your chance to be at the forefront of sustainable investment and help us achieve our ambition of being a market leader in this field.
As a Senior Sustainability Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting GIB AM's sustainability initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Sustainability Officer, you will provide invaluable support to our investment team and the wider business. Your expertise in sustainability research, stewardship, and advocacy will be crucial in deepening our ESG integration across equity, fixed income, and index strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Active Stewardship: Support the development of GIB AM's engagement agenda, lead collaborative engagements, and evaluate complex proxy voting proposals for presentation to the investment teams.
* Reporting and Monitoring: Produce annual sustainability reports, assist with ESG performance assessments such as UN PRI and TCFD/IFRS S1&2 and support the development of client presentations and marketing collateral.
* Thought Leadership: Help drive GIB's climate change transition strategy, follow market trends, and undertake innovative sustainability research.
* Initiative & Service Provider Management: Act as the main point of contact between GIB and sustainability organizations and monitor service providers.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or IMC are advantageous.
* At least 6 years’ experience at an Asset Management firm or a sustainability consultancy in sustainable investment, ESG analysis, active ownership.
* Excellent analytical and research skills, strong project management abilities, and a passion for sustainability.
* Good knowledge of regulatory frameworks, policy areas, metrics and strategies related to ESG, including net zero targets and other environmental or climate-related ambitions, as well as impact investing.
