Job Description
Position Purpose:
Global Procurement is committed to deliver a significant contribution towards Brambles growth goals, enabling the markets to win through Procurement using breakthrough category strategies and sourcing execution to support operating margin improvement and competitive advantage.
Indirect Procurement categories tend to be complex with varying stakeholder needs, significant external spend and key relationships up to and including executive level. The prime accountability for this role is to drive value through ensuring the commercial elements of spend in these categories are executed brilliantly with our vendors.
This role will lead sourcing decisions with key stakeholders that is enabled through a business partnering approach with the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the IT Leadership Team. This role will apply & oversee category management to support the maximization of value, whilst minimizing risk from all external spend and assuring quality of delivery and performance.
Your mission:
* Be an effective Business Partner & trusted advisor to the CIO and each of the ITLT members
* Challenge the ways of working with a focus on the ‘game-changers’ leveraging scale & skill
* Co-create 3-year strategic plan with clear deliverables for the global procurement categories of IT, Telecoms & Network
* Deliver savings targets that are procurement led, support SOF initiatives across the category portfolio
* Support the delivery and assignments of all procurement “enabled” Shaping-our-Future (SOF) initiatives across the portfolio including direct reports and wider procurement teams as necessary
* Play an active role in the IT annual budget process
* Maintain and review the records of procured IT products and services
* Monitoring and control unrolling contracts
* Develop the Strategic Vendor Management Function to enable greater value, compliance, and identify & reduce risk
* Be a trusted advisor to the regional procurement teams as required
Your experience:
* Strong IT Category or commodity management experience as Procurement Director on a Global level
* Multiple years’ experience within a large international business
* Senior stakeholder management (including C suite)
* Cost & financial management
* Supplier management
* Ideally MCIPS qualified (not mandatory)
Skills & Knowledge
* Ability to articulate the supply market and take that knowledge to develop a strategy/executable plan
* Executive presence and confidence with senior stakeholders and C suite
* Global mentality and collaborative approach
* Knowledge within the category across multiple industries and subcategories
* Leads by example and directs the category teams to find additional information
* English is a must have – fluency in Spanish is an advantage
