About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in a 2-on-1 tutoring session, providing tailored support to one student with SEND. Based in Andover, this role involves helping the student develop their educational skills, confidence, and independence, working closely with another professional to ensure the student’s needs are fully met.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated support to a single student with SEND during 2-on-1 tutoring sessions.
Collaborate with a second professional to deliver a cohesive and engaging learning experience.
Assist the student with their individual learning goals, ensuring progress and active participation.
Support the development of key life skills, including organisation, time management, and independence.
Encourage positive communication and social interaction between the student and others.
Adapt and manage schedules and activities to meet the evolving needs of the student.
Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
Compassion, patience, and experience working with SEND children or young people.
