Job Advert: Accounts Clerk Location: Leatherhead Job Type: Part-Time Salary: £30,000 pro-rata Hours: 24 hours per week, worked over 3 or 4 days (either 8 hours per day for 3 days or 6 hours per day for 4 days). Core hours are between 8 AM and 6 PM. Job Brief - Accounts Clerk We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will provide essential accounting and clerical support, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and smooth daily accounting operations. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Clerk Provide accounting and clerical support to the organisation. Process, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records. Prepare and process bank deposits, general ledger postings, and financial statements. Reconcile accounts in a timely manner. Manage and monitor the Client Accounts Receivable list (approx. 800 clients). Enter key financial transaction data into the database daily. Provide assistance and support to company personnel. Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation discrepancies. Compile reports and summaries for management. Ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws. Requirements: Accounts Clerk Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk. Familiarity with bookkeeping and fundamental accounting procedures. Experience using SAGE Accounting Software. Proficiency in MS Office packages (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent data entry and word processing skills. Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
