Salary: £12.00 to £13.00 pound per hour depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:15 am - 5:00 pm | Friday: 9:15 am - 5:00 pm (Unpaid break: 45 minutes)
Total working week: 39 hours
Role Overview: As a Stores Person, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stock control, order picking, and inventory management processes. You will be managing many SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage stock levels, ensuring accuracy in all areas of inventory control
Accurately pick and pack orders, ensuring the correct parts are selected
Maintain a well-organised stores area, ensuring stock is easily accessible
Ensure that all incoming stock is properly received, logged, and stored in an efficient manner
Perform stock counts, manage discrepancies, and carry out regular stock audits
Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth and timely order fulfilment
Use IT systems, spreadsheets, and emails to track and manage stock levels and orders
Maintain a high level of organisation, even when managing large order picks
Check and pack all despatches to required despatch dates
Assemble specifically specified assembly Job Travellers as requested
General house keeping of working areasSkills and Experience:
Proven experience in a stores or stock control role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Experience in managing many SKUs with a high degree of accuracy
Strong numerical skills with a focus on precise stock counting and inventory management
Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities efficiently
Proficiency in using stock management systems, spreadsheets, and email
A strong attention to detail and a proven track record of accuracy in stock control, order picking, and inventory management
