Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing welding processes and techniques to enhance product quality and efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, as well as proficiency in various software tools to support system design and analysis.
Duties
* Develop and optimise welding procedures to ensure high-quality production standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate welding processes into product designs.
* Utilise SolidWorks and CAD software for creating detailed schematics and models.
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve welding-related issues in production.
* Design and implement logic controllers for automated welding systems.
* Perform system design tasks using LabView, Simulink, and MATLAB for process improvement.
* Ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in all designs.
* Provide technical support during the manufacturing process, ensuring adherence to specifications.
Experience
* A degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is essential.
* Proven experience in welding engineering or a similar role is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD, LabView, Simulink, and MATLAB is required.
* Familiarity with logic controllers and system design principles is advantageous.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis.
* Knowledge of GD&T principles is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
