About the role Looking to broaden your admin experience? In this position, based in the department hub, you will support senior academic staff & a variety of departmental activities, committees and events. This is a great opportunity for those looking to develop their skills & expand their administrative experience and knowledge further The key tasks will be: providing administrative support for a number of Departmental activities and senior academic staff, playing a key role in our undergraduate admissions process, close liaison with the staff within the Department, Faculty-based teams, Central Professional Services, external organisations, and members of the public. Training will be provided, and the successful candidate will have access to University of Bath professional development opportunities. This role is customer-facing and the expectation is that the successful candidate will work on campus for the majority of the time. This position is offered on a part-time basis, 32 hours per-week, open-ended. About you To succeed in the role, you will have experience of working in a busy office environment where excellent interpersonal skills are crucial. Ideally, you will also: have experience using Microsoft Office applications and will be willing to acquire further IT skills, be able to work as part of a team in a confidential setting communicate persuasively and tactfully with colleagues, with an approachable and friendly style, have excellent organisational skills, demonstrate a good use of initiative, have the ability to multi-task and prioritise a high workload.
