You will be part of a multi-skilled team that is responsible for supporting Packaging, Brewing, and Utilities departments through consistent professional delivery of effective and efficient maintenance to maximize equipment availability and uptime. Responsible for routine maintenance and inspection, troubleshooting, fault diagnosis/rectification on automated & PLC controlled equipment, automated packing machinery, and site services (compressors, fridge,e and boiler plant) across all areas of the brewery. Undertake training and carry out new tasks in support of equipment optimization, utilization, performance, and reliability in accordance with maintenance reliability measures and recommendations. Duties & Responsibilities: Must be willing to work flexible shifts (including some weekends) with advanced notice and supply basic tools; specialist tools are provided. Ensure adherence to company safety policies, equipment lock-out/tag-out procedures, and relevant regulations. Perform planned maintenance, emergency repairs, and root cause analysis to ensure plant and equipment reliability while following quality standards. Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for task tracking, job feedback, and spare parts management. Recommend preventive maintenance improvements, equipment enhancements, and support optimization initiatives to achieve plant KPI targets. Maintain work areas according to 5S principles, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and effective equipment storage. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, support contract labour, and actively participate in process improvement and safety projects. Pursue personal development through training, mentoring team members, and identifying opportunities for skill enhancement. Operate with a cost-conscious mindset, spending only as necessary while maintaining equipment reliability. Monitor performance trends, challenge underperformance, and contribute positively to team culture and innovation efforts. Who we’re looking for: Competent in core field as qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, with an aptitude and desire to learn in non-core fields. Multi-skilled candidates are preferred. Demonstrable experience working safely in a high-speed manufacturing/processing environment within a maintenance department or technical services team. Proven ability to deliver process improvements in a world-class environment. Knowledge of high-speed packaging equipment, brewing systems, refrigeration, steam systems, and compressed air plants is desirable. Excellent mechanical/electrical fault-finding skills and ability to prioritize maintenance requests in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in mechanical fitting techniques, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical drive systems, control valves, pumps, and machine tools. Tig welding is a plus. Strong electrical expertise, including PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), SCADA, inverter drives, 3-phase motor controls, servo systems, electrical sensors, and instrumentation (e.g., flowmeters, temperature probes, pressure transmitters). Competent in electrical troubleshooting, installation, and control theory. Knowledge of HV systems, inkjet coding, and 17th Edition qualification is advantageous. Safety-conscious, computer literate, and capable of working independently while effectively managing workload. Strong team player with systematic fault diagnosis skills, a willingness to learn, and an understanding of business KPIs and company values.
