Job Summary:
The HR Advisor will provide expert guidance and support to employees and management on all HR matters specifically within the nursing and residential healthcare sector.
The role involves delivering HR services that comply with healthcare regulations, ensuring a high level of employee engagement, and supporting organisational goals through effective people management practices.
The HR Advisor will be instrumental in supporting recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with industry-specific regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding:
* Support the recruitment process, including job postings, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
* Ensure all recruitment activities comply with healthcare sector standards and best practices.
* Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and develop job descriptions aligned with organisational requirements.
Employee Relations:
* Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee rights.
* Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, grievance management, and disciplinary actions.
* Promote a positive work environment that encourages open communication and teamwork.
Compliance & Legal Support:
* Ensure all HR practices comply with healthcare regulations and CQC guidelines.
* Support the development and enforcement of policies related to employee health, safety, and wellbeing.
* Conduct audits to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and healthcare-specific standards.
Employee Engagement & Retention:
* Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and help to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture.
* Monitor employee satisfaction, conduct surveys, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
* Support retention strategies, focusing on reducing turnover rates and increasing employee loyalty.
Qualifications:
* CIPD in Human Resource Management
* Minimum of 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in the healthcare sector.
* Strong knowledge of HR practices, and healthcare-specific regulations
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Proficiency in HR software (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Skills:
* Experience in employee relations, training, and talent management.
* Understanding of compensation, benefits, and healthcare plan administration.
* Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and best practices in workforce management.
