Overview
Landfill gas management is your area of expertise and interest. The focus of this rewarding job, which offers the opportunity for flexible working, is on ensuring that the environmental control and management systems are efficiently run and maintained at all our sites to achieve regulatory compliance and attain high standards of energy efficiency. The role requires travel mainly in the southeast and M4 corridor across a range of facilities including quarries, closed and operational landfills and various waste management facilities.
What you’ll be doing as Environmental Manager
Day to day you will work closely with site teams and the Environmental team at our Oxfordshire head office, collaborating with engineers, planners, sustainability specialists, and site managers across various energy or environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate technologies that can be utilised at landfill sites to minimise environmental impact and assist the business in reaching Net-Zero.
- Ensure the environmental control and management systems are efficiently run and maintained.
What you’ll need
The ‘musts’ are experience in landfill environmental monitoring and control systems with a focus on landfill gas control systems, a thorough understanding of the regulatory framework applicable to the waste management industry, and project and contractor management. A full driving licence is essential too.
