We have been retained on an exciting mandate to recruit a divisional People Director for a major UK organisation.
You will be accountable for developing and delivering the People Strategy aligned to wider business strategy ensuring delivery of current customer commitments, along with further business growth. This includes ensuring the business has the right structure, with the right people/skills in the right roles at the right time. Partners with Senior Executives/Managing Director and is a senior member of the divisional/functional leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working closely with the senior leadership team in the Business Unit/Functions to ensure robust People delivery
* Ensuring that the organisation is designed in a way which supports efficient and effective operational delivery of our services and enables growth
* Drives a high performance culture, identifying specific issues and interventions required to embed high performance and continuous improvement behaviours at all layers of the business
* Drives effective high performance leadership behaviours which inspire a high performing workforce who have clear objectives, the right competencies, are supported with their career and personal development, recognised and held to account
* Ensures learning and development interventions are in place to support current and future knowledge, skill and behavioural requirements at all layers of the organisation
* Ensures robust succession planning is in place and develops appropriate talent strategies to mitigate risk
* Defines the resource requirements and securing the talent required to meet the Business’s strategic plans
* Ensures effective monitoring and measurement of key people metrics with mitigations strategies developed as appropriate
* Leads and develops a people team who partner closely with business leads contributing to business success
* Ensures successful delivery of all people related work winning/M&A activity - bidding, mobilisation and integration
You will need to be an established CIPD qualified, HR leader in a large complex organisation. Experience of supporting Europe as well as the UK would be highly advantageous but essential is a commercial approach that would suit a fast paced and agile organisation preparing for their next stage of growth.
