We continue to grow and would like to welcome more people in our Industrial Gases - Customer Engineering (UK, Ireland & Israel). We are looking for a CAD Engineer with industry experience, to be based in our Worcester or Crewe or Carrington office, reporting to the Technical Manager.

CONTRACT: permanent
SALARY: competitive salary + benefits + annual bonus
As the CAD Engineer, you will:
* Coordinate workload to meet schedule, quality, and budget requirements together with timely reporting on status and progress of workload.
* Collaborate closely with the projects, maintenance and asset teams to ensure P&IDs and layouts are created, modified and approved according to procedure.
* Liaise with other departments to agree interface details on drawings. Take the initiative in resolving interface problems.
* Control the archive of drawings via share sites.
* Control EMOC compliance for the department.
* Deal with external customers on P&ID and layout requests.
* Control the design work hours incurred on projects and ensure time is entered in SAP. Highlight scope and design variations in accordance with the procedures.
* Review manufacturing drawings using established check lists where available and drive drawing approvals.
* Participate in HAZOP processes.
As the CAD Engineer, you already are or have:
* ONC/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
* Proficiency in use of AutoCAD; however, other CAD experience would be considered.
* Demonstrable experience with producing equipment setting plans, general arrangement drawings and P&IDs.
* Working understanding and use of business management systems and the document lifecycle typical of an engineering organization.
* Demonstrable understanding of cross-functional interfaces and overcoming the associated challenges in an engineering/design environment for process facilities.
* Well-organized and enthusiastic with a sound mechanical engineering background.
* Highly competent written and spoken communication and able to use a range of standard software such as MS Word and MS Excel.
