The candidate will work in a large, busy, modern GP Practice with a list size of 25,000 patients. The post holder will join a team of four Practice Nurses, four Health Care Support Workers, and two phlebotomists providing clinical support in the areas of diabetes, respiratory, women's health, and family planning, among others.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will undertake a range of duties and responsibilities as part of a team to support the Practice in delivering care to its patients. Main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Chronic disease management including diabetes, respiratory, and women's health
* Immunisations
* Women's health and family planning
* Adherence to infection control procedures
* Taking and recording observations such as BP monitoring
* Venepuncture

Experience
* Experience of working in primary care
Skills/Other
* Excellent communication skills - able to communicate with staff at all levels
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with significant post-qualification experience
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* Competent and trained to perform venepuncture
* Ability to perform ECGs
* Experience in chronic disease management
* Experience in immunisation
* Qualified in phlebotomy
